Morning Run

From my exercise journal this morning:
So, yeah, I ran. And now I'm devouring a bagel because almost invariably these days I get to the office after exercise and I'm famished. Funny how that works.
It felt pretty good. As I said above, my thighs are going to feel it, so I'm going to try and keep them stretching/moving today so they don't get too sore. The other fun discovery was that it's a good thing I swim on Tuesdays when the pool is empty - Wednesdays, or at least this morning, it was packed, as was the cardio room. It seems people are on a MWF exercise schedule. Or at least a W schedule, because when I was there last Thursday it was equally dead.
Plan for the weekend, since I'm headed out of town, is to do some time on the bike Friday morning before getting the rental car. Hopefully the tire situation will be somewhat better than Saturday (i.e., they'll have the air I pumped in on Sunday still and not be flat again). :-p
04/05/05 a.m. 30:00 in the YWCA on the treadmill. Decided, since I have been walking for two days without pain, to try the treadmill, with the mental caveat that if I felt sore I would stop and hop on the elliptical. Managed to do the full 30 minutes running, with a brief break to tighten my shoelaces, at an 11:30 mile pace, so a little over 2 miles. My thighs are going to feel it tomorrow, and my knees were a bit fussy on the steps in the Metro afterward, but it felt good to do a simple run at a moderate pace.
