Well, you'll see the news way before I report it to you, so I'll just post this to let those who have asked know that I'm safe, I'm nowhere near any of the big Federal buildings downtown that might be targeted (I work in a satellite building of the Big Government Agency for which I work). We're staying put as they have evidently closed large segments of the Metro, if not the whole thing, and it would make more sense to stay here rather than go home. We don't need the traffic here in DC to get any worse than it is.

Just heard from virtualexile and he's at home, safe. Thank heavens.

Anyway, back to watching news reports.

I'm so glad you're alright. As soon as I heard, I didn't even bother to turn on the news or find out specifics. I came straight to Livejournal.
