Have been discussing the etiquette of declining an invite to a sex party (politely, of course) with friends, as well as sex with multiple persons. So, decided a poll was in order. :-D

Um... I'm going to use my consultant-speak here and say "It depends."

"Optimal" for what? A lot depends on my mood. Sometimes I want 1:1, sometimes 2:1 or 3:1, sometimes 6:1 or 12:1 or 20:1 or.... Am I topping, bottoming, the filling in a sandwich, or is it an all-out no-holds-barred orgy?

Wait, 3 as in "total number of people involved (including me)" or 3 as in "3 other people"?

Because, hey, if it's the latter, you missed "two" :-P.

I agree, it depends on the situation. I've been in several groups activities, ranging from 3 to a whole room full of writhing bodies. Each had was enjoyable in their own way. And I would gladly partake in any of them again.

However, if you're looking for more of what I'd prefer on a regular basis, it would probably be 3 to 4.
