Checked my payroll stuff, my next paycheck (this Wednesday) is due to hit the new credit union account.  Which is great, means once two more checks clear at Suntrust I can close that one, except I have yet to receive a visa check card from the credit union. :-/  Kinda hard to use them fancy ATM things with no card to access 'em, ya know?  Will have to fuss about that on Monday.

Thursday is a bank holiday.

So hopefully it all gets handled by then.

Ah. Thanks; didn't realize the banks would be closed.

(I work (indirectly) for yet another international trading bank (my third), so I get something like 7 "bank closed" holidays a year. Days like Veterans', Presidents', Columbus, etc. don't register on my radar any more.)

I love my bank (http://www.commerceonline.com). I lost my card last Saturday, and I went into the branch, the next day (yes, they're open Sundays..) New card took a few minutes, and since it was Halloween, they had lots of candy that they kept shoving at me.

I think they're they only bank around here that prints check cards in the branch.

They (Commerce) have (very) high fees, but my employer (http://humc.net) puts most of its revenue, and all payroll for 7,200 people through them, so we get waived fee accounts.

We also use Wachovia, and BoA for a few accounts, but I think those are just backups.

Also, they have 2 Commerce ATM's on our campus, so I never have to go too far for cash (which may be a bad thing)

I read in the Sunday Post that they are starting to put ATMs in high schools now. T.C. Williams is getting one. Seems like a very bad idea to me.
