legalmooseI'm not official free from my commissioner duties until January 2, 2005 at noon, but tonight is the last meeting over which I must preside as chairman of the commission.

To say the last few months have been like pulling teeth would be an understatement. But it's almost done, so I'm just trying to take a couple of deep breaths, dive in, and finish it up. We have an ambitious agenda, much of which I'm going to push to the next commission: let them deal with these non-pressing issues since they'll have to live with whatever we decide (I know, I'd never make a congressman, since their attitude seems to be "screw 'em now, not later"). Hopefully we can wrap it up without too much pain.
