Are we allowed to send to bed with no supper?

What do you do when your parents are having problems? Mine seem to be dealing with a mid-life crisis, some mild depression, and years of constant nagging. Blech. I just want to smack them both, stick 'em into a forced diet-and-exercise routine, then make them sit down until they work some of it out.

The worst thing is that I am a licenced attorney in the state in which they live (as opposed to the colony [DC] in which I live *grin*), so there is some pressure to provide legal advice, which I don't feel that I can do in a fair and ethical manner. My mantra has been, "if you feel you need answers to these questions, go get a family law specialist, which I am not." Blech.

Parents can be so annoying. I suppose this is their revenge for the years of crap they had to endure with their children.

Grin, lemme at them! I'll show them the misery of being single and old. ;-) After a few hours with me they should be depressed enough to work it out. ;-)
