Okay, you know it's cold out when I actually have all of the heater units on in my top floor, stays overly warm all the time apartment.

Brrr. 26 out (-3 C), feels like 14 (-10 C). Windy. It's probably the wind on our woefully inadequate 1950s windows that's doing the most damage (he said, with a lovely breeze coming in over his desk from the windows). Can't wait for those to get replaced this next year with the double-paned insulated glass.

Next winter probably won't be as cold when you have the new windows....

Hmm.. if you're replacing the windows anyway, caulk the hell out of any spot you can.. the moldings will probably be partially replaced anyway, since newer windows tend to have larger casings....
