Am I the only one who finds the new Golf GTI ad with Gene Kelly to be more than a bit creepy?

hahah... while it's really weird to see Gene Kelly breakdance, it's a little less creepy for me because i know who they used as the dance model (http://www.detoursvideo.com/Elsewhere.htm)

It's dipping into that uncanny valley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_Valley) -- the use of Kelly's image is nearly perfect, but it's not quite. The dance moves themselves look unnatural, even on an unaltered image -- that's part of their appeal.

I like it. I especially like the music. But it's more than a little weird.
