Interminable Meetings
Feb. 15th, 2005 10:09 amEver sit through one of those meetings where one of the participants said the same damned thing, over and over and over and over again, ad nauseum? That was my 9 am. For this I got to work early and skipped a morning workout. *shudder*
I am taking tomorrow off. I have a head cold, I got maybe 4-5 hours sleep last night. Was up from 2-4 and didn't sleep well for the little bit I was asleep. Which is, sad for me to realize, a normal part of a head cold for me. I get one night where I just cannot sleep, and wake up feeling miserable. Normally I'd have taken today off, but I had the 9 am and another project that MustDie Be Finished Today (and it will be; it's 90% done, just needs some final editing). So I'll take tomorrow off to crash and crash hard. Meaning also I'll be coming down from caffeine (ick) since that's what's going to get me through today. *sigh*
It's been a little over a month since my last head cold (which, my new uber-anal spreadsheet shows ended on the 8th of January). I'm not pleased that I'm ill again, especially since I've been taking stuff to keep my sinuses dry. I am glad that I'm tracking so I know how long it's been; I want to see if there's a pattern and take that info in to the doctor to see about any possible assistance. One thing I'm definitely seeing is that I don't get enough sleep each night. Which will have to change; it's too important to exercise recovery for me to miss that part.
