The key to vegan sanity is to refrain from over-analyzing, accept that vegan "purity" is unattainable, and realize that aiming for perfection is counterproductive. This does not imply that we toss in the towel and give up. It merely means that we must realign our priorities if veganism is to have any meaningful and lasting effect.

I like that one :-) As a mostly-vegetarian I like knowing I'm not the only one who views this as a sliding-scale sort of thing :-)

From an outside perspective, i think there are a couple different things going on here... on the one hand there are people who want to live without exploiting animals... that's great, more power to ya. on the other, there are people who would take any situation to it's logical extreme, in this case, veganism... how pure can one person be? i mean you can't breathe without killing millions of germs and microbes, those are living things right? you can't eat all the plants because then what will the cows eat?
