Well, got down to the Lucky store to check out their wares and it is as I feared, they no longer carry any lines without a leather patch on the back.
Grrr!
Is it so much to ask that they not gratuitously slap a piece of animal flesh on the back of any otherwise innocuous pair of cotton pants? I mean, c'mon, I know the history of fabric de Nimes was that it was sold to cowboys, but honestly, how many of the people wearing jeans today are likely to go out and wrestle a cow to the ground? Ugh.
So far, nada online, either. The usual suspects aren't being any help, either, simply referring to old information or to larger manufacturers' sites where you have to continue to hunt.
For all the good the 'net can be, it can certainly put out a lot of crap, too.
Anyway, on to finish cleaning up for dinner. I should put this frustration to a good cause, after all. ;-p

Date: 2005-03-05 10:52 pm (UTC)They're a little pricier than the average jean... but I've never had a pair of Buffalo jeans with a leather patch...

The site is just getting up and running, but it does have some store locations. I'm not sure how much it'll help you, but you can find some listings for the jeans elsewhere to see what they look like. I, personally, love them. Hope this helps...
