Rain, rain, etc. Pt. 2

Rained pretty much constantly through the bike ride. 8 miles down to Hains Point, 3 miles to the Metro to zip over to Crystal City. I got absolutely soaked when I got to Crystal City. We're talking rain coming down so hard I couldn't see anything. So I walked into the Expo absolutely soaked. That was fun. :) Got my race number (sans chip) and my special order t-shirt (the cool max one, not the cotton, which I would never wear). Metro'd back to Columbia Heights (when lioncub asked if I'd ridden back from Crystal City or L'Enfant I told him I wasn't insane), then a quick ride home. Dropped stuff all over the entrance and ran back to shower off.

Leftover chinese for lunch (mmm, protein...), so I feel mostly human now.

Was a fun ride in the rain, Crystal City notwithstanding. Thankfully the new toy keeps multiple trips in memory so I've got the whole kit and kaboodle recorded. Whee. :)
