He likes to bat at his water bowl, spilling it all over the kitchen floor. This isn't so bad, it's easily cleanable, but it's unexpected when you're walking into the kitchen in your bare feet first thing in the morning to get breakfast.

At least teach him to mop the floor for you if he's going to do that. ;)

My boy kitten used to like to try to bat at the ice cubes in his water if I put them in there on warm days. The problem was that he didn't want to get his paw wet so he had trouble figuring out what to do. Amusing side note to that: Now he tries climbing in the shower with me although he doesn't like getting very wet yet. Guess he's getting over his dislike of water.

Someone I knew used to put small plastic cups of water in her shower for her cat to knock over because the cat liked doing it so much :) Have you considered an untippable bowl?
