Falsifications
Apr. 11th, 2005 11:42 amOkay, I posted a list yesterday, some items true, some false. Here's the list again, with the false items bolded:
1. I've been nearsighted my entire life. (False: I didn't get glasses until age 11, 6th Grade)
2. I've been quoted in The Advocate. (True, Feb. 3, 1998 in a dreadful little article about internet chat rooms.)
3. I am an Eagle Scout. (True, class of 1989)
4. The nickname "Moose" comes from/refers to the size of my "schwanschtücker" (to borrow the phrase from Young Frankenstein). (False: *snicker* Please.)
5. I began teething all four of my wisdom teeth the week I entered college. (True! Evil though it was, all four started popping through the week I got there - and that was damned painful, let me tell you)
6. I was skinny as a rail until I was 7. (True: It was that summer, with grandmother feeding me whole tubs of Cool Whip that I started pudging up)
7. I am the shortest male in my family. (True: Only my mother is shorter than I am)
8. I rarely go more than a week without some sort of health issue. (True: Unfortunately, this is my main gay drama magnet)
9. I've run at least one 5k race each year since I started running in 1998. (False: I've only run in two 5k races)
10. I studied French through Mandarin Chinese. (True: I studied French 1 in Taiwan. The teacher was French, but everyone else in class was Chinese, so we were taught in Mandarin Chinese, and all translations were Chinese-French, French-Chinese)
So
