Motorola Can Kiss My Ass

Bought a new phone yesterday. I'm returning it this evening.

Picked up a Motorola A630 yesterday because I was tired of not being able to clearly hear calls on my Nokia 3650. I liked the form factor, the feel of the phone in my hand, the QWERTY keyboard, all good. So why am I returning it? The addressbook function sucks. It wanted to create a new entry for each new phone number or email address. In other words, if I wanted to list someone like myself, with three phone numbers and three email addresses, I'd have to have six separate entries in the addressbook for that person. And that's not even considering that there was no apparent way to put in physical addresses, a feature I've used on more than one occasion to remember where a business (say, a doctor's office?) was located.

So back it goes. Thankfully I did not have to renew my account, so I didn't stick myself with T-Mobile for another year over the phone, but what a crock. Get a real OS, guys.

This is why I love Sanyo phones. They have a great single entry interface, the batteries never seem to go flat, and the screens are indestructible. I think they're exclusive to Sprint though, although they have way better voice quality than T-Mobile (Not as great with text messaging, though)

The Nokia's been great, and I like Symbian as an OS, but the sound quality has just been too spotty in this poor phone. I do a lot of text messaging, which was why the QWERTY was so appealing.

Bah, I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and get a Treo 650 with Sprint. :-p

Eh, I'm not impressed. :-/ Yeah, big screen, but the navigation looks to be clunkier than the 3650 (which is by no means clunky, but isn't quite as fast as I'd like it to be).

Nope, no warning. ;) Now if it were just a nice symbian phone, it'd be almost perfect for what I want. Ah well!

I have a V60 for work and it is from 2001 or so and I can't stand how the phone book is that way. I thought they would have fixed that by now... Still love my Nokia 6200.

I had two Motorola phones in a row, both camera phones, both sucked. I wasn't happy with either of them. I now have a Nokia camera phone and its great!!!

T-mobile sucks!!!

I've had no issues with T-Mobile itself. Their service, the few times I've had to call them, has been fine, and they took the phone back today with no restocking fee, which was a plus. *shrug* Just wish they had a better phone selection. I like my 3650, but the voice quality has just gotten too poor (without using a handsfree) to keep using it.

Nope. The b'berry doesn't synch with Mac OS, and that's a no-go for me, so those phones are useless as far as I'm concerned.
