Sunglasses
Jul. 6th, 2005 11:11 pmIt was just pointed out that I neglected to post about the other big consumer purchase gone wrong, sunglasses.
I had purchased some Rudy Project frames with the idea of getting the optical inserts, filling them with my prescription, and having semi-decent looking sunglasses for once.
Well, the inserts came in yesterday, got those, tried to get the prescription filled, and it seems I'm too blind to do that. The inserts won't support above -4 diopters and I'm at -4.25. And it seems Rudy doesn't make an insert for these that's strong enough. And, more importantly, my extraordinarily long eyelashes hit the damned inserts when they were in. So, those went back today as well.
Both the phone and the glasses were taken back for a full refund, with no restocking fee (yay!). So my cards are none the worse off for the adventure. :-/
