Staying home with the cold today. It seems to be fading, but this is why they give me sick leave, no? So I can stay home and not infect the rest of the office. :-p

Kytty, I looked up the saline solution thing in something else I have by Rodale Press (the folks who publish Prevention, as well as Men's Health) and it seemed okay. If nothing else it helped me get a lot of snot out of my nose (ewww!). ;-) It works by reducing the irritation in the nasal passages and therefore allowing the sinuses to drain normally so you avoid lovely thing like, say, sinusitis. Whee. (yeah, I'm a process person - gotta know why something works)

Yuck! Then again I'll be asking for advice if this sore throat gets to be full-blown painful! ugh!

I'm the same way. I need to know WHY/HOW things work, not just that they do.

That said, after the recent cold from hell, I'm convinced the solution is:

1) Orange Juice (which I have to pass on)
2) Chicken Soup
3) Ecchinacea
4) Zinc + Vitamin C
