Long weekend

Long weekend, but not terribly eventful. Went out to Bear Happy Hour at Titan on Friday. Got entirely too smashed by the end of the night, though was not showing it. Did get to see apeliotes and byzantinespy at Halo before xavier78 and I abandoned the place on Friday. Unfortunately we retired to the Green Lantern and my absolute visceral hatred of the place came right back to the forefront and we had exactly one bottle of water each before I insisted that we quit the premises. Not necessarily the way I wanted to end the evening, but I can't explain why I despise that bar so.

Woke up Saturday to my left calf seizing up. Fun! Slept in a bit more after I massaged the calf out. Dealt with the hangover and was generally a slug. K came over and we had a long, languorous session in bed with each other. He had to zip off to see friends, and cheerfulchaotic, who stayed here this weekend, had taken off, so I ordered Chinese food, a good dose of "I'm feeling sorry for myself," and sat in front of the TiVo and cleared out my cartoons. I have to say, I'm really happy with the plot development on Justice League Unlimited, I think they're doing a good job with that.

Got to sleep, slept in this morning, but eventually roused myself to get laundry done (weeks worth - the broken wrist was not helping me resolve to deal with that onerous task). It took most of the afternoon, and I had to deal with crazy folk in the laundry room, but it all got done with no missing socks, so all is good. Vacuumed when I got back, played some on the web cam(s) on iChat and Yahoo (both with the "legalmoose" address, if you're interested). Eventually cheerfulchaotic got home, then lioncub got home, then xavier78 came over and we ordered food from Spices. Was good. Tried to watch The Life Aquatic, but I fear it was not quite adventurous to keep our food-laden attention spans going, so we abandoned the film in favor of au revoirs and and some sleep.

I can't explain why I despise that bar so.

Because it's skankalicious and in a building that looks like it could collapse at any moment. There's a reason I've always called it "The STD Exchange."
