With one of the underbosses out, I snagged the acting underboss when he made the mistake of saying hello wandered past my office and asked if he could look at some stuff that I've had sitting in my office since I got here 18 months ago (sensitive case materials that did NOT need to be sitting in my unlocked office). I've only been bugging the underboss in charge of these materials since I got here to tell me where to move them. So the acting underboss and I went through them, and they are now out of my office, in secure file space, and my floor is free of boxes for the first time since I arrived. Yay for small victories!
