A pox on all computers and their related spawn.

If you happen to have an Apple computer, and if as part of that you happen to have an Airport or Airport Express base station, sometime the middle of last month you likely downloaded and installed a new set of software for running the Airport stuff on your computer. What did NOT happen was it did not update the firmware on your Airport and/or Airport Express. To fix this, use the "Airport Admin Utility" found in the "Utilities" folder under "Applications."

I know this because my network WOULDN'T FRACKING WELL CONNECT FOR HOURS ON END this evening until I played with it and updated the firmware.

Makes you yearn for the days of carbon paper and manual typewriters, no?

Or not.

Umm, er

I downloaded it yesterday morning, restarted and got right back onto the Internets with no problem.

Is your issue something I should worry about when I move it from place to place and reset the network ( IE when I go to Folsom?)

Hmm- just asking is all.

I haven't had any problems since I updated my iBook, either; nor has my boyfriend with his PowerBook. We use the AirPort Express as a WDS relay station though, so it might be different...
