I left home early this morning, all ready to get in, get done with it, and get home to do laundry tonight, and then came the bus ride from heck. Took a nap at one point, so I have no idea how long it actually took us to get from P street to K street, but it took me an hour to get to work this morning on the bus. I live 4 miles from work. It normally takes me just about 1/2 that amount of time, maybe a bit less, maybe a tad more, depending on normal traffic and the time of day.

I hate cars. I hate stupid people who drive their single-occupancy vehicles into the city, who refuse to believe that you shouldn't block the intersection as the light turns yellow, who don't realize that the bus really is bigger than they are and will force them out of the way if they don't yield, regardless of the size of their yuppie assault vehicle, and who can't seem to get over this NIMBY attitude that doesn't allow for additional roads to assume overflow out in the 'burbs where they belong, forcing them to come through the city instead, which isn't designed for this level of traffic.

hey now, I take great pride in gettin in the way of busses and taxis...they should obey the same traffic laws as single driving cars...fyi I do metro to work though.

Yeah, so I'll die slowly from radiation poisoning rather than quickly from the initial blast. :-p
