Escalator woes
Feb. 11th, 2004 09:40 amWalking to work, those brief interludes between public transit modes, was interesting. The toes were warmer than yesterday because of the boot socks I popped on this morning (only regular dress socks yesterday - brrr!), but stairs are an issue. I go up stairs quickly, seeing them as an annoyance more than anything else. And escalators are great because they help you get up the stairs all the faster. Well, normally they do.
The only time I stand still on them normally is when I'm with someone else who won't walk up them with me. When you're hobbled they become the most incredibly boring part of the commute. Gosh, let's stand here and watch the concrete inch by, and perhaps see how much faster or slower the handrail is from the steps. *yawn*
But anyway, got to work, got logged into the computer, going to go see da boss here and catch up on a few things. Whee.
