Awoke to a text message on the new phone - the number has switched over. Sweet! No carrying two phones today. :-)

Sun's out: Check
Cool breeze: Check
Warm temps: Check
At work: Check

;-p

Good commute this morning, was very light. I suppose folks are playing hooky with the nice weather. Me, I'm at work, trying to figure out the vagaries of this particular pot of money that OMB wants to close but that we want to keep open. Whee!

Otherwise, life is good. Slept well, phone's working with the new number, we're preparing to have folks over tomorrow for game day, &c. Altogether a pleasant day.

Guns, Gays and the GOP

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- We're being treated this weekend to a revealing, if slightly predictable, display of President Bush's political priorities.

Meetings of the National Rifle Association in Pittsburgh and Log Cabin Republicans in Palm Springs, California, will show where Bush is building his alliances this year. And where he is not.

Now, really, which location would you rather be at? I think the NRA needs to inject some fabulousness into their convention next time around. *snaps*

Grrr!

Okay, now I know I was right to dump AT&T Wireless. I was trying to see if I could purchase some pre-paid airtime for a friend and they refused to tell me if I could purchase minutes for someone else over the phone. This after I had to go through 5 menus and two transfers to different sections of AT&T Wireless. Then the little jerk refused to transfer me to a manager ("He's just going to tell you the same thing, so I see no point in transferring you." - excuse me, that's not your decision, that's mine!).

The kicker is, you can do this over their web site, if you know whether the person has a pre-paid or a "GoPhone." But evidently they don't want to be helpful and let you know that so they can accept more money, at least not over the phone.

Hmmm

It seems that pretty much no one is here today.

And of those who are here, one is an annoying client who has been shopping around for the answer he wants to hear. Good thing we lawyers talk. :-p

Not like that ever happened at the old BGA, either. *roll eyes* Connections are an important thing.

So, still reading, still trying to absorb stuff so I can describe it semi-accurately to da boss. Otherwise, well, *yawn*.

Interesting. So the straight porn industry shuts down when an actor or actress tests positive for HIV in order to clear the other workers and make sure it hasn't spread.

Why do I doubt such testing happens with gay studios? Although, who knows, maybe they do. I would hope so, if nothing else than to protect their "investment" in the actors involved. :-/

Seitan and mushroom stroganoff. Yum. :-)

Thank heavens for the CSA bag weirdness.

edit: And boyfriends who cook when you look at them and ask, "So, what are you making for dinner?" (*pointed look at [livejournal.com profile] lioncub*) *grin*
